Our Story
In 2016, Ryder Pearce found himself spending months dealing with the California DMV to solve a problem that should have taken him minutes. The process was complicated, confusing, and frustrating. While waiting in DMV lines, he heard similar stories of individuals struggling to navigate confusing processes and get clarity on critical information.
That inspired Ryder to launch Skip in 2017 as a mission-driven company built to help individuals and small business owners “skip” the red tape.
Since 2020, Skip has focused on helping small business owners navigate confusing processes and get critical information. Small business owners are the backbone of the US economy. Skip's mission is to give entrepreneurs their best shot at success, from discovering and getting funding to growing their businesses.
Skip has been a remote-first team since the beginning, with a passionate and talented team across the US and around the world. Skip has led its Skip for Good initiative for over 5 years, committing a percent of revenue back to organizations and individuals.
